Design responsibilities may include both structural and/or styled parts in the engine room, floor, < br /> and bumper areas utilizing a variety of materials (steel, aluminium, plastics, composites, etc.) as well as< br /> manufacturing processes (stamping, injection molding, extrusion, casting, etc.). (30%) Collaborate with internal stakeholders including design teams, test departments, styling studios, manufacturing facilities, purchasing, and other cross-functional groups to ensure alignment and successful project execution. (30%) Lead supplier part development activities by establishing design targets, reviewing progress, and confirming the ability to meet quality, cost, performance, and timing requirements. (20%) Support component and vehicle verification activities, analyze test results, and develop countermeasures to address design or validation concerns. (10%) Estimate, monitor, and manage part cost, weight, and investment throughout the development process, including the review and evaluation of supplier quotations.
