Design responsibilities may include both structural and/or styled parts in the engine room, floor, and bumper areas utilizing a variety of materials (steel, aluminium, plastics, composites, etc.) as well as manufacturing processes (stamping, injection molding, extrusion, casting, etc.). Additional responsibilities may include researching & developing new technologies for future vehicle applications. < /p> < /div> < /div> < div style='padding: 10px 0; border: 1px solid transparent; '> < div style='font-size: 16px; word-wrap: break-word; '> < H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0'> < u> < b> Key Accountabilities< /b> < /u> < /H2> < /div> < div> < ul> < li> Create and/or manage the creation of 3D models, layouts, and 2D drawings using CATIA.< /li> < li> Correlate and negotiate with internal Honda contacts, including other design departments, test departments, the Styling Studio, factories, and Purchasing.< /li> < li> Lead part development activities with suppliers by setting design targets and confirming the ability to achieve requirements.< /li> < li> Support part and vehicle verification activities, including developing and implementing countermeasures as necessary.< /li> < li> Estimate and manage part cost, weight, and investment throughout development, including the review of supplier quotes.< /li> < /ul> < /div> < /div> < div style='padding: 10px 0; border: 1px solid transparent; '> < div style='font-size: 16px; word-wrap: break-word; '> < H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0'> < u> < b> Qualifications, Experience, and Skills< /b> < /u> < /H2> < /div> < div> < h3> Minimum Experience< /h3> < ul> < li> 0–2 years of relevant experience.< /li> < /ul> < h3> Other Job-Specific Skills< /h3> < ul> < li> Proficiency in CATIA or other 3D CAD software.< /li> < li> Self-motivated and organized.< /li> < li> Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.< /li> < li> Effective verbal and written communication skills.< /li> < /ul> < /div> < /div> < div style='padding: 10px 0; border: 1px solid transparent; '> < div style='font-size: 16px; word-wrap: break-word; '> < H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0'> < u> < b> Working Conditions< /b> < /u> < /H2> < /div> < div> < p> Majority of work is performed in an office environment. Some interaction in test lab, fabrication and manufacturing environments. 5-10 hours/week OT as needed.
