Design responsibilities may include both structural and/or styled parts in the engine room, floor, < br /> and bumper areas utilizing a variety of materials (steel, aluminium, plastics, composites, etc.) as well as< br /> manufacturing processes (stamping, injection molding, extrusion, casting, etc.). Additional responsibilities may< br /> include researching & developing new technologies for future vehicle applications.< /p> < /div> < /div> < div style='padding: 10px 0; border: 1px solid transparent; '> < div style='font-size: 16px; word-wrap: break-word; '> < H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0'> < u> < b> Key Accountabilities< /b> < /u> < /H2> < /div> < div> < div> Create and manage 3D models, component layouts, and detailed 2D engineering drawings using CATIA to support vehicle and component development. (30%) Collaborate with internal stakeholders including design teams, test departments, styling studios, manufacturing facilities, purchasing, and other cross-functional groups to ensure alignment and successful project execution. (30%) Lead supplier part development activities by establishing design targets, reviewing progress, and confirming the ability to meet quality, cost, performance, and timing requirements. (20%) Support component and vehicle verification activities, analyze test results, and develop countermeasures to address design or validation concerns. (10%) Estimate, monitor, and manage part cost, weight, and investment throughout the development process, including the review and evaluation of supplier quotations.
