Job Description:

Key Responsibilities - Monday through Friday - 7: 00 AM - 3: 30 PM (Flex)

• Prepares shipping schedules, plans, reports and quotes.
• May determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
• Troubleshoots shipping process and provides customer assistance as needed.
• Enter truckload rates, accessorial charges, fuel surcharge updates and provide problem solving for issues that arise in the TMS.
• May coordinate activities with other departments, customers, and outside trucking firms.
• Assists with inventory management, freight shipment coordination, and document preparation.
• May assist with verifications, data entry, generating reports, and reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with local transit authorities.
• Incorporates and ensures safety observances are met, including use of all PPE by colleagues, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Possesses knowledge of trucking and transportation industries, warehouse operations, and shipping/receiving processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or other relevant software and a working knowledge of a Transportation Management System (TMS).

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $59, 900.00 - $102, 100.00. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $92, 000.00 to $95, 000.00. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
