033674 Electrical Reliability Engineer (Open)

Job Description:

Provide leadership and technical expertise to improve equipment reliability across the facility. Improve and maintain integrity of the facilities, equipment, process and the preventative maintenance program. Implement design changes to new and existing equipment as part of the continuous improvement process. Support Maintenance in the achievement of department and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, expand and improve the electrical preventative maintenance program.

  • Provided technical assistance to maintenance and production departments.

  • Perform root cause failure analysis on equipment/process failures, lead identification and implementation of corrective actions.

  • Oversees the mill electrical, pneumatic and instrumentation systems and maintenance.

  • Oversees effective E& I department safety and housekeeping programs.

  • Provide design changes in materials, equipment, and processes to enhance proper operation and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure that all equipment and systems are in compliance with regulatory and governing agencies with the highest regard for mill and personnel safety.

  • Plan, prepare and execute maintenance activities during mill/department changes.

  • Oversee contractor execution of repair and project work.

  • Purchase special or unique repair parts, materials and services.

  • Participate in action teams for capital projects with the engineering department for equipment selection, spare parts and preventative maintenance.

  • Be a participating member of the business unit Reliability Team.

  • Provide project management for repair or special projects as needed.

  • Assist with other duties as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.

Experience:

  • 3+ years minimum. 5 plus years experience preferred in Industrial Manufacturing.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge, skills and experience in reading wiring diagrams and piping layouts, instrumentation drawings, specifications and instructions concerning repair, installation, and inspection work to be performed.

  • Applies knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, and piping systems, wiring specifications, local and national electrical codes

  • Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC’s and Distributive Controls Systems.

  • Experience leading or implementing reliability improvements

  • Familiar with reliability improvement tools and strategies.

  • Familiar with predictive maintenance tools

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $92, 500.00 - $157, 500.00. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $105, 000.00 to $115, 000.00. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
