Great Lakes Community Action Partnership is hiring a Meal Delivery Driver in Fremont, OH. This is a full-time position.

Meal Delivery Driver Location: 1101 Castalia Street, Fremont, OH 43420 Schedule: As Needed (Monday - Thursday) Pay Rate: $19.61 per hour Position Overview: Delivers Meals on Wheels to older adults in the community while ensuring safe food handling, accurate route documentation, and client well-checks during meal delivery routes. Experience: One year of experience in transportation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate vehicles in compliance with traffic and safety rules; maintain vehicle in prime operating condition; keep vehicle clean inside and out.Record mileage; obtain client initials or signatures and other documentation of daily route.Deliver meals to participants and nutrition sites.Ensure compliance with state and local food service regulations.Monitor, document, and assist with a plan of action to ensure proper temperature of vehicle hot and cold refrigeration units and meals.Review the menu daily and ensure counts from route sheet are reflected in quantity pick up from Kitchen prior to departure.Maintain up-to-date client call sheet and call clients to do well-check when meal delivery is canceled.Communicate routine not-home status at the end of each route and non-routine not-home status immediately upon discovery.Conduct daily well-check of clients and their environment; report any unusual observations or unsafe conditions to MIS Clerk.Train substitute drivers during ride-along on meal route delivery.Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor. Additional Requirements: Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid drivers license, and maintain a safe driving record. Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
