Provides project and process management for the Small Business Credit Survey (SBCS) team. Develops and manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the administration, use, and successful data collection efforts of the Small Business Credit Survey and related analyses. Builds relationships with Bank and System staff working on small business issues.

Essential Accountabilities

  • Creates project plans, and outlines tasks, timelines and resources required. Communicates with team members and stakeholders, manages risks, and monitors progress to achieve project objectives through completion.

  • Manages and improves workflows involved in survey data collection, analysis and reporting by coordinating work between core team and process partners.

  • Evaluates and develops new partnership opportunities for the SBCS and maintains a network of partners consisting of regional and national organizations.

  • Leads relationship management logistics for the SBCS. Uses survey software and/or a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to organize and track relationship lifecycles.

  • Presents and interprets the findings of the SBCS to organizations focused on small businesses. Analyzes SBCS data to uncover insights relevant to stakeholders and communicates them through presentations and written briefs.

  • Writes, provides input, and/or edits original content and/or content strategy development for presentations, internal or external communication/publication vehicles and proposals.

  • Contributes to high priority policy initiatives and issues by organizing convenings and communicating on small business topics.

  • Performs work independently with limited supervision and direction.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Preferred Accountabilities

  • Authors or co-authors articles, publications, and special projects on small business economic conditions and policy issues.

  • Presents to internal or external audiences (i.e., financial institutions, community groups, key partnership organizations, and/or governmental organizations) on small business economic conditions and policy issues.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related work experience OR

  • Master’s degree and 5 years of related work experience

  • Ability to understand and explain economic and small-business-related research, and adapt messaging to different audiences

  • Strategic decision making

  • Project and process management

  • Ability to interpret research for a variety of audiences
