Position Summary

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining all floor surfaces throughout the facility to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position supports infection control standards and promotes a positive first impression of our community.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and polishing
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment (buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, etc.)
• Clean carpets, tile, vinyl, and other floor surfaces
• Follow proper safety and infection control procedures
• Maintain equipment and report needed repairs
• Assist with general housekeeping duties as needed
• Ensure compliance with all facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Previous floor care experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
• Knowledge of floor care chemicals and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift, bend, push, and stand for extended periods
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
