\n AutoZone is seeking a Distribution Center Transportation Operations Manager to manage private fleet and common carrier services for one or more AutoZone Distribution Centers. This role ensures service excellence, budget compliance, and oversees transportation personnel and activities, including driver safety, maintenance, fuel, systems, reporting, and carrier management. \n

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling & Logistics: Develop and maintain optimized transportation schedules, ensuring on-time performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Carrier Management: Oversee external carrier relationships, including bids, line hauls, storage, and return logistics.
  • Budget Oversight: Plan and meet budget guidelines while managing vendor relationships and cross-docking activities.
  • Operations & Compliance: Ensure adherence to transportation processes such as Daily Vehicle Condition Reports, seal programs, international logistics, and warranty recovery.
  • Project Management: Execute special projects assigned by the Regional Transportation Manager, preparing reports and monitoring activities as required.


Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Five to seven years of experience in transportation, logistics, or business management
