Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, self ‑ motivated Network Technician / Level 1 IT Support specialist to support daily IT operations in a small manufacturing environment. This role requires someone capable of working independently, troubleshooting issues across Windows ‑ based systems, supporting networking equipment, and assisting employees with hardware, software, and connectivity needs.
The ideal candidate thrives in a hands ‑ on environment, balances multiple priorities, and contributes to the stability and security of site-level IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and manufacturing PCs in an all ‑ Windows environment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot local network infrastructure, including switches, access points, cabling, and basic firewall troubleshooting.
  • Install, configure, and update Windows OS, drivers, and approved applications.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies following IT standards.
  • Manage incoming IT support tickets by responding promptly, troubleshooting issues, and documenting detailed resolution steps to maintain accurate and complete service records.
  • Ensure proper inventory management of IT hardware and accessories.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff and collaborate with cross ‑ functional teams as needed.
  • Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
  • Uphold security best practices, including patching, antivirus management, and adherence to IT policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred (CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.).
  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support or related technical role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.


Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Hands-on experience with switches, access points, and small-business network setups.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues independently.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem ‑ solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast ‑ paced production environment.
