What's the role? As a SAP S/4 HANA QUM Solution Consultant, you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss Inc. Show case your skills and experience with process enhancement in implementation and optimization of the quality management module within the SAP system to ensure that products meet the required quality standards. The role is pivotal in designing and implementing functional and technical S/4 HANA solutions specifically tailored for quality management systems across various roll-in projects enhancing product quality, regulatory compliance and overall operational efficiency. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of SAP's best practices, a keen ability to integrate with auxiliary systems, and a robust capability to meet specialized business and IT requirements that uphold the highest standards of quality assurance. The consultant is expected to lead the development efforts, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, and provide substantial support throughout the solution deployment lifecycle, enhancing the overall quality management processes within the organization.

Here's what you'll do: - Design, configure and implement tailored SAP S/4HANA solutions for the Quality Management (QUM) processes to support quality planning, quality inspection, quality control and quality improvement processes across the organization. Ensure comprehensive integration with satellite systems based on precise business and IT requirements.
- Lead and coordinate development tasks towards global development factories, ensuring projects are efficiently and effectively executed within designated timelines.
- Manage SAP QUM implementation projects, coordinating with cross functional teams, managing budgets, timelines and ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify and implement process improvements in quality management, including streamlined workflows for inspections, audits, defect management and corrective / preventative actions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on SAP best practice architectures and technologies, providing crucial support to deployment teams and enhancing solution development capabilities.
- Develop custom enhancements and modifications to standard SAP QUM functionalities to address unique business requirements and operational challenges.
- Vigorously advocate for process standardization and challenge any deviations to uphold solution integrity in line with SAP best practices.
- Maintain strict adherence to established architecture principles and standards, ensuring consistent quality across all solutions.
- Manage the review and approval process for configuration and functional specification documents, ensuring they meet compliance standards and accuracy.
- Support robust testing activities, including the coordination of bug-fixing efforts, to guarantee the reliability and performance of deployed solutions. Ensure the solutions are meeting specific requirements and perform reliably in a production environment.
- Provide essential support during cutover, migration, and hypercare phases, ensuring smooth transitions and the stabilization of the QUM process domain.
- Address and resolve post-implementation issues, fostering continuous improvement and optimization of deployed solutions.
Do you qualify? - A minimum of 5 years of experience as a solution consultant or architect in SAP transformation projects, with a focus on the Quality Management domain.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing SAP S/4HANA solutions, including cloud integration and integration with third-party systems such as AEB and OpenText.
- Extensive experience in global template processes, particularly within the QUM domain.
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications in SAP, Quality Management, or related fields.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and excellent communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration and problem-solving.
Nice to Haves: - Advanced degree in a related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Additional professional certifications in Quality Management or related fields.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud solutions and their integration with SAP S/4HANA.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and methodologies.
Working Conditions and Special Demands: - Location : The role is primarily based in White Plains, New York.
- Hybrid Work : 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
- Travel : will be required and may increase for limited periods during go-live/post-go-live at different ZEISS locations across the Americas. Occasional business trips to Germany can also be required.
Compensation:
The annual pay range for this position is
$130, 000 - $150, 000The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
