Nail Technician

Hourly Rate: $12.90 commission

Location: The Woodcliff Hotel and Spa

Reports To: Director of Spa & Wellness, Spa Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a New York State licensed, client-focused Nail technician to provide a variety of nail services to our clients. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, and passionate about health and wellness. Must be available to work at least one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday). ** We are a natural nail salon, we do not do acrylics.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality nail services tailored to clients' needs and preferences

Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times

Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business

Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and stocked

Uphold spa protocols and safety procedures

Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

Attend training, have product knowledge in order to answer guest questions

recommend and sell retail products

Qualifications:

Valid nail tech or cosmetologist license in New York State

No Minimum working experience required (new graduates welcome to apply)

• Practical interview required for employment

Ability to work one Saturday or Sunday shift per week

Strong communication and customer service skills

Comfortable with recommending and selling retail products

Professional appearance and demeanor

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 years of spa specific experience

Dual licensed

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a quiet, clean, and climate-controlled treatment room.

Must be able to work in close proximity to multiple service providers

May involve use of oils, lotions, and other products that require good hygiene practices and proper ventilation.

Occasionally exposed to dim lighting and soothing background music for client relaxation.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform treatments continuously for up to 80 minutes per session, often with 4-8 sessions per day.

Requires sustained hand and finger dexterity, and strong upper body strength.

Must be able to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lbs, .

• Help clients with limited mobility (e.g., assisting onto/off chairs, which may involve guiding body weight but not lifting)

Regular use of hands and arms for applying pressure, kneading, and other manual techniques, frequent standing, walking, as well as sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling.
