Job Description

Vice President of Operations (Beverage Distribution Center, Inc) is hiring a Vice President Of Operations (bdci) in Flushing, NY. This is a full-time position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
\n
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's end-to-end manufacturing operations across multiple beverage production facilities, including manufacturing, maintenance, transportation, and Continuous Improvement (CI).
\n
This executive leader will establish and execute an integrated operations strategy that delivers safe, high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable products while building a culture of operational excellence across the organization. The VP will oversee multiple manufacturing sites and the company's transportation operations, ensuring alignment of people, processes, technology, equipment, and resources to support business growth and customer requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manufacturing Operations
\n
Provide strategic and operational leadership for all manufacturing facilities, establishing consistent standards, performance expectations, and operating disciplines across sites; Own manufacturing performance across safety, quality, service, productivity, capacity, labor, waste, and cost; Develop and execute a multi-year manufacturing strategy aligned with company growth, commercial requirements, capital plans, and customer demand; Ensure plants have the capacity, capabilities, workforce, equipment, and processes required to meet current and future business needs; Establish clear operating KPIs and accountability mechanisms across all manufacturing locations; Drive standardization of processes, systems, best practices, and operating procedures across the network while allowing appropriate flexibility for site-specific requirements; Partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Human Resources to optimize end-to-end business performance; Lead manufacturing network optimization, including capacity planning, footprint strategy, make-versus-buy decisions, and production allocation.

Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance
\n
Establish and reinforce a zero-incident safety culture, ensuring compliance with all applicable OSHA, environmental, food safety, and regulatory requirements; Ensure manufacturing operations consistently meet company and customer quality standards; Partner with Quality and Food Safety leadership to maintain strong GMP, HACCP, sanitation, traceability, and food safety programs.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
\n
Lead the company's Continuous Improvement organization and establish a common operating system for operational excellence; Develop and deploy a CI roadmap utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, problem-solving, and other appropriate methodologies; Drive measurable improvements in OEE, throughput, labor productivity, yield, waste, changeover time, downtime, and cost per case/unit; Build CI capability throughout the organization by developing site leaders, managers, supervisors, and frontline employees; Establish a disciplined approach to identifying, prioritizing, executing, and sustaining improvement initiatives; Create a culture of daily management, root-cause problem solving, visual performance management, and accountability; Ensure CI initiatives generate sustainable financial and operational results rather than isolated project improvements.

Transportation & Logistics
\n
Provide executive leadership for the company's transportation organization, including fleet operations, drivers, routing, maintenance, safety, and transportation costs; Optimize the integration of transportation with manufacturing, warehousing, customer service, and supply chain planning; Establish transportation strategies that maximize service, asset utilization, safety, and cost efficiency; Drive improvements in fleet utilization, route optimization, delivery performance, fuel efficiency, maintenance, and labor productivity; Evaluate opportunities for internal fleet optimization, third-party transportation, technology, and network redesign.

Capital & Asset Management
\n
Partner with Finance, Engineering, and senior leadership to develop and prioritize the manufacturing capital plan; Ensure capital investments are aligned with strategic priorities, capacity requirements, safety, productivity, quality, and return-on-investment expectations; Oversee major equipment installations, plant expansions, automation initiatives, and facility improvements; Establish disciplined post-investment reviews to ensure capital projects deliver expected operational and financial benefits; Develop long-term asset strategies to improve reliability, utilization, and lifecycle economics.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
\n
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; advanced degree preferred; 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, with significant multi-site responsibility; Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-volume manufacturing operations; Beverage, food, CPG, or similarly regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred; Demonstrated experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or other Continuous Improvement methodologies; Willingness to travel regularly across manufacturing facilities and operational locations.

COMPENSATION RANGE:
\n
Potential earning is from $250, 000 - $275, 000 annually
