Salary Range: $60.00 - $85.00 Hourly

Description

Urban Engineers of New York, DPC. is seeking qualified individuals in Manhattan, NY to join our NY office as an Estimator. This position will be supporting upcoming projects in the New York area.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for multidisciplined projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure cost estimates align with the project goals and timeline.
• Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to assess project requirements and cost implications.
• Track and manage bid proposals.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments to estimates as needed to reflect changing circumstances.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an estimator, ideally within the transportation sector
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Capable to handle and coordinate multiple assignments
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
