JOB SUMMARY: The Transport Driveris responsible forsafelyoperatinga tractor-trailer to transport and deliver petroleum products todesignatedlocations. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent focus on safety, knowledge of DOT regulations, and a commitment toaccurate, on-time deliveries and excellent customer service. Primary Responsibilities Conduct required inspections of the vehicle and equipment before and after fuel deliveries.Plan delivery routes to supporttimely, safe, and efficient deliveries.Communicate with dispatchregardingdelivery times, requirements, delays, concerns, and customer needs.Transport and deliver petroleum products todesignatedlocations in a safe, timely, and professional manner.Follow company procedures for loading, unloading, transporting, safe handling, spill prevention, placarding, securement, and fuel product handling.Maintainaccuratedelivery records, driver logs, and required documentation.Properly document all deliveries and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.Notify dispatch and/or management of vehicle care, maintenance issues, safety concerns, or equipment needs.Comply withapplicable DOT regulations, federal and state transportation requirements, safety requirements, company policies, and customer site procedures.Work varied schedules, routes, overtime, weekends, holidays, or emergency deliveries as business needs require. Minimum Qualifications Valid commercial drivers license with tanker and hazmat endorsements.Clean motor vehicle record that meets company and insurance requirements.Minimum of two years of experience as a petroleum transport driver or comparable commercial driving experience.Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety requirements, and safe fuel transportation practices.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work varied hours, schedules, routes, overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency deliveries as business needs require.Ability to use a cell phone, truck on-board computer, and/or tablet. Preferred Qualifications: Previouspetroleum delivery or fuel transportation experience.Experience delivering throughout New York State and Pennsylvania. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to sit and drive for extended periods whileoperatinga tractor-trailer.Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds asrequired.Ability to climb in and out of the vehicle, access tanks and equipment, bend, reach, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks associated with fuel loading, unloading, inspections, and deliveries.Ability to handle hoses, nozzles, fittings, and related fuel delivery equipment safely and effectively.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around petroleum products, fuel odors, vehicle traffic, and moderate to high noise levels.Ability to follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment when performing job duties.
