For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $101, 000 - $140, 000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. MissionEnsures that the Offer quality is built-in to reach the satisfaction of the future customers. Involved in Small or Large Projects, defined through OCP (Offer Creation Process). Working within the CS& Q department, to support the adoption and implementation of DfSR processes, tools, and software across multiple teams to ensure that products are designed with safety, robustness, and reliability in mind. Your primary focus will be the deployment of the P Diagram, DFMEA, and FTA processes. Evaluate and identify critical elements of offerings at the design level, developing logical DfSR risk assessment plans based on safety, robustness, and reliability perspectives. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure that all offering designs are safe, compliant, reliable, and robust throughout the full deployment of the DfSR methodology. Continuous Improvement: Develop, execute, and report on DfSR plans regularly, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to the highest standards of reliability and safety.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote and embed DfSR practices within their teams.
The Design Quality Engineer is a Quality Team member, embedded with the product design team to guide their development and lead activities to ensure high quality, quick and cost-effective solutions are produced. This position is critical for effective product development in the fast-changing High Performance Computing datacenter space which Schneider and Motivair compete in. The products we develop are cool Artificial Intelligence GPU processors.
The position requires strong quality management skills and leadership to work with and influence all members of the design team to utilize the design process tools to develop market leading products.
Key responsibilities: - For all the project in which DfSR is applied ensure that the 10 Quality Fundamentals in Design for Safety and Reliability are completed (i.e. CTQs, Mission Profile, P-diagram, DFMEA, FTAs, Robust V& V, Field Reliability, ...)
- Helping create the customer mission profile
- Identifying critical to quality (CTQ) characteristics
- Assembling P-diagrams for critical design parameters
- Creating Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) documents
- Developing Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) for the highest severity failure modes
- Launching safer and more reliable products
Who will you report to?- You will report to the Quality Director This role is an onsite position. You are required to report to the Lancaster, NY facility 5 days a week.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?- Bachelor's in engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of product development engineering experience
- Experience in cooling, HVAC, or related industries as familiarity with datacenter cooling and heat transfer is beneficial
- Experience with FMEA, quality, 8D problem solving, fishbone diagram, etc. to identify potential faults.
