Schneider Electric is hiring a Customer Project Manager in Buffalo, NY. This is a full-time position.

Customer Project Manager - Motivair

Location: Lancaster, NY (Onsite)

What will you do?

The Customer Project Manager is responsible for overseeing customer projects from proposal through deployment, ensuring successful execution of project plans while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role serves as the primary liaison between Motivair and the customer, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing project scope, schedule, budget, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from sales proposal through deployment using established project delivery processes.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, resources, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface throughout project execution, fostering strong customer partnerships and ensuring customer expectations are met.
  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Application Engineering, Product Development, Production, Service Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Ensure customer requirements, technical specifications, schedules, and budgets are clearly defined and communicated across all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular project team meetings to drive communication, resolve challenges, and monitor project progress.
  • Monitor project budgets, contractual obligations, risks, and timelines to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from $200K to $100M+ in project value.
  • Support pre-execution planning activities, including quote reviews and proposal development.
  • Manage post-execution and customer acceptance activities to support successful project closeout and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, operational efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Evaluate project outcomes, capture lessons learned, and implement best practices for future projects.
  • Make independent project decisions and communicate recommendations effectively to customers and internal leadership.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering projects.
  • Experience managing complex customer-facing projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in data center infrastructure, thermal management, cooling systems, or HVAC.
  • Experience managing manufacturing, industrial, or engineered equipment projects.
  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certifications.
  • Experience working with Motivair products or liquid cooling solutions.
Who will you report to?

You will report directly to the Senior Project Management Office Manager.

This is an onsite position based in Lancaster, NY, requiring attendance in the office five days per week.

Travel
  • Up to 20% travel domestically and internationally as required.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101, 600 - USD 152, 400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
