POSITION SUMMARY: \n
Leads multiple departments within the site's manufacturing operations. Provides leadership and mentoring to department managers, front line supervisors and operators. In addition, this role will be responsible for developing and motivating the team to deliver performance results that lead to execution of the annual operating budget. The Plant Senior Operations Manager will also implement processes and new initiatives to maximize operational efficiency and implement continuous improvement processes to improve overall equipment effectiveness and employee capabilities.

The Plant Senior Operations Manager plays a key role in working with multiple departments to carry out plant objectives. The individual will be an integral part in assisting the Senior Director of Operations in creating and maintaining accurate forecasts and budgets for the plant. There will be many key relationships including but not limited to: Senior Director of Operations, Plant Personnel, Finance team, Operations leaders, Maintenance, and others.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: \n

\n- Manage and oversee multiple departments within the plant.
\n- Identify and coordinate improvements necessary in the plant operation to deliver safety, quality and cost objectives.
\n- Evaluate business unit capabilities, skills, and resource alignment to ensure performance against objectives.
\n- Lead realignment and work redesign efforts as necessary to provide executional excellence.
\n- Establish clear performance and behavioral expectations for all employees and develop functional training systems.
\n- Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
\n- Provide leadership and communication to drive positive culture and collective purpose.
\n- Participate in development of annual operating budget and monthly forecasting.
\n- Daily review and management of waste, labor and efficiencies.
\n- Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues.
\n- Administer company policies and procedures.
\n- Develop supervisors and managers to improve functional knowledge and leadership skills.
\n- Understand and abide by Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) in managing union work force.
\n- Manage annual operating budgets for labor, materials, supplies, yields and shrink.
\n- Work closely with suppliers and internal customers to deliver expected results.
\n- Manage food safety / food defense programs in accordance with standards and regulatory requirements.
\n- Ensure attendance policy is managed and implemented daily.
\n- Initiate and oversee project management for facility capital expenditure projects.
\n- Performs other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION: \n
\n- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field.
\n- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing required.
\n- HACCP / FSMA experience and/or certification.
\n- Experience with confidential files, documents and other information.
\n- Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
\n- Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project.
\n- Previous experience in a union environment preferred.
\n- Working knowledge of quality systems, finance, capital planning, project cost tracking, forecasting, economic justification analysis, statistical process control and manufacturing management systems.

COMPENSATION RANGE: \n
Potential earning is from $170, 000.00 - $190, 000.00 annually
