To construct, maintain and test production mechanic equipment.
\n

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.
\n
- \n
- Plan, lead and execute preventative maintenance (PM) according to PM schedule to minimize equipment downtime. \n
- Maintain all production line machinery and equipment to manufacturers specifications; including reading and understanding all machine manuals. \n
- Complete reactive maintenance on production lines to recover from equipment failures by repairing mechanical, and structural components. \n
- Repair, maintain, rebuild, operate & troubleshoot all mechanical equipment. \n
- Adjust all equipment as needed. \n
- Make all welding repairs. \n
- Monitor refrigeration equipment. \n
- Execute plant prevention maintenance program. \n
- Participate in special project work on equipment upgrades or installations. \n
- Work with team members and operators to ensure the daily production schedule is met. \n
- Communicate daily with Quality Control, Supervisors and Machine Operators. \n
- Report maintenance problems to supervisors verbally and written follow-up. \n
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned. \n
\n
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
\n
- \n
- Knowledge of machine shop, welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics & trouble-shooting. \n
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance field using high-speed manufacturing production equipment. \n
- Flexible to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business. \n
- Strong mechanical skills with Machinist / part fabrication experience is a must. \n
- PLC experience is desired. \n
- Solid computer skills including the use of Word and Excel. \n
- Refrigeration Engineer's License a plus. \n
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills. \n
- Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively. \n
- Able to lift, push, pull 60 lbs. as needed. \n
- General Maintenance Tools (Brooms, Mops, Hand and Power Tools). \n
