New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc (NESL) is looking for a Equipment Operator to support our Portoperations. Individuals who may not have experience or certifications are still encouraged to apply.

This is a hands-on role requiring mechanical skills and a proactive attitude to ensure plant and field operations run smoothly and efficiently. The starting hourly rate is $24.00/hr and individuals with experience and certifications may be considered for a higher entry rate.

Equipment Operator (Loader) - What Will You Do?

• Operate assigned equipment in accordance with NESL operating and safety guidelines.
• Operate miscellaneous equipment for the loading multiple types of material, preparation, grading of job site.
• Inspect and maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Effectively communicate with teammates on worksite.
• Represent NESL with the utmost professionalism.
• Salary range for this position is $24-$25 hour.
  

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of equipment operating experience preferred.
• Able to successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and audiogram.
• Able to successfully meet NESL standards for MVR and Criminal Background Check.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Perform physical labor, to include shoveling, raking, as well as standing, kneeling, bending for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Laser focus attention to detail with the discipline to ensure accurate and quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
• Capable and willingness to work 8+ hour shift during day/night/weekend hours to meet business demands.
• Ability and willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain and dusty environments.
• Capable and willingness to travel to job sites within a defined geographic territory.
