Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations professional to join our Control Tower team. The Control Tower oversees the entire Operations platform coordinating a wide range of activities covering both Banking and Capital Markets business lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Operations daily dashboard to report key risk indicators across all teams in Operations.
  • Prepare monthly reports for management providing updates on the operations controls, initiatives, procedures, audit findings, operational incidents and any relevant information related to the overall control environment.
  • Coordinate with other internal functions (Non-Financial Risk, Business Risk & Control, Compliance…) on the implementation of any initiative impacting Operations.
  • Propose solutions to automate the daily Dashboard, working with the different IT teams in defining requirements, testing and implementation.
  • Manage a process review for Operations procedures, ensuring adherence with Mizuho policies.
  • Maintain mapping of all Operations processes to align all controls and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate the completion of annual Risk Control Self Assessments with teams across Operations.
  • Assist in the review of new regulations to assess the impact for all Operations team.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of operations control, risk management, operations or audit experience desirable.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong project management capabilities with ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for the financial services industry.
  • Experience with drafting and maintaining high quality procedures.
  • Exemplary business ethics.


The expected base salary ranges from $100, 000 - $160, 000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, including Medical, Dental and 401K plans, successful candidates are also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
