Mizuho Americas Services LLC is hiring!

Description:

We are seeking a Vice President for Mizuho Americas' Operations Department:
  • Perform daily nostro Bank account reconciliation using Metro CARS.
  • Monitor any items in Metro CARS repair queue and fix as needed.
  • Research any open items / inquiries using MTS.
  • Check distribution of open item reports to all back-office units.
  • Oversee all inquiries relating to overdraft balances.
  • Liaise with back-office units to investigate any open or matched item.
  • Check and approve all aged open item reports before sending to unit heads.
  • Check and approve all reconciliations from the treasury reconciliations team, including securities and treasury products.
  • Check and approve the open reconciliation report from the report center / excel.
  • Prepare / approve daily report of key risk indicators to be sent to management.
  • Monitor all daily activity for Mizuho Bank Toronto daily cash position, including reconciliation of the opening and closing position, daily activity from loans, remittances, and other areas.
  • Liaise with Toronto's treasury desk to ensure daily positions are correct.
  • Check final statements for Toronto for any fails and report such activity to treasury and management.
  • Check and approve end of day reports before distribution.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc operations, procedure changes / updates, system related matters.
  • Take care of any internal / external audit inquiries.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reconciliations.
  • Prepare and distribute Mizuho Foundation Report quarterly,
  • Provide backup support coverage for team members out of the office.
  • Comply with all quarterly legal, compliance and training requirements
  • Conduct Performance Reviews/Goal Setting for Staff of 6
  • Coordinate Vacation Calendar for Team


The expected base salary for this role will be in the range of $91, 000 - $125, 000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
