Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
Assist editors in all aspects of content production, including research, sourcing visual assets, pitching ideas, and drafting articles
Contribute to commerce-driven editorial content such as product roundups, galleries, and service-oriented stories
Support day-to-day editorial operations to ensure smooth and efficient content workflows
Collaborate with editors and cross-functional teams to execute content aligned with brand voice and standards
Conduct research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and quality across all published content
Pitch timely, relevant story ideas that resonate with the Women’s Health audience
Help organize editorial calendars, track assignments, and maintain content systems
Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
Demonstrated interest in health, wellness, and lifestyle journalism
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a collaborative setting
Familiarity with digital media, social platforms, or content management systems is a plus
Interest in analytics, SEO, and audience engagement strategies preferred
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in journalism, communications, media studies, public health, or a related field
The hourly rate for this role is $20 per hour. This is a non-exempt position and eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.
