Job Description:

Lead the customs house brokerage business by providing oversight, leadership and consultation in the implementation and management of the company's import operations. Develop and maintain relationships with customer, regulatory groups and others to ensure the company's decisions are consistent with government regulations and laws. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Responsibilities:
  • Strong customer focused orientation and highly visible and engaged with customer base.
  • Responsible for implementing and directing strategies to expand and grow Loomis International's Management's Customs Brokerage product.
  • Provide guidance, leadership and direction to our sales team focused on the development of Customs brokerage and trade service products, this includes direct reports focused on this specific offering.
  • Manage the financial performance of the product, including budgets, forecasts, customer profitability, and financial reports for the various departments and business units that make up this product offering.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in all areas of U.S. Customs regulations regarding Customs Brokers and the Customs clearance process, classification, and valuation rules.
  • Direct leadership of our Compliance Source consulting practice.
  • Maintain active engagement with key government agencies, organizations, and representatives.
  • Lead team to ensure accurate and compliant entry declarations and processing, efficient clearance of goods through U.S. Customs and timely/accurate billing with full document support.
  • Develops and implements procedures and controls to ensure adequate and appropriate communication and information flow throughout the global organization regarding all aspects of custom house brokerage.
  • Serve as champion of processes and systems related to customs house brokerage; liaisons with IT, finance and HR in prioritizing issues and initiatives impacting the Customs Brokerage service offering.
  • Lead Brokers and import service offerings.
  • Personally coach, train, and mentor direct reports to ensure proper goals, training, professional development, and project requirements are met.
  • Maintains the corporate brokerage license for Loomis International in the USA.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years related experience in Custom House Brokerage role.
  • Minimum 10 years supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Minimum 7 years' industry experience.
  • U.S. Customs Broker License.
  • Demonstrated experience leading in an executive capacity.
