Description:
Position Overview: The On-Site Plant Engineer is a field focused engineering and operations support member for the LGUS On-Site Plant operations organization. The opening location is flexible, but Tonawanda, NY or Burr Ridge, IL are preferred. The position will have responsibility for supporting ~ 100 plants of multiple product lines including ASU; Nitrogen Cryogenic and Non-Cryogenic Plants; and Oxygen Non-Cryogenic Plants. Job duties: - Growth: Occasionally support the commission of new On-Site Plant installations - Productivity: Champion productivity initiatives for the region - Reliability: - Plan scheduled plant turnarounds - Act as project management for small projects within the covered region, including those stemming from contract renewals - Lead RCA/RCI meetings and support efforts to close action items - Utilize the EAM (Enterprise Asset Management system) to input plant assets and assign preventative maintenance work orders - Track and report plant availability and other KPI's - Engineering: - Resolve and support engineering alerts - Oversee Management of Change (eMOC) creation, approvals, and closeouts - Operations: - Occasionally assist in troubleshooting plant operations - Support continuous improvement efforts within the On-Site Plant organization - Assist with the basic training of operations personnel Qualifications - Educational & Technical Experience: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or minimum of 3 years' technical work experience. - Operations experience is desirable. Additional Skill Requirements: Candidate should be a highly organized self-starter with good oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail. Must be able to resolve conflicts within the organization while establishing synergies with all involved parties. Travel up to 50%. Occasionally there are phone calls during off hours.
