Position Overview: The ROC Superintendent is an operational leadership role responsible for day-to-day oversight of both CCR (ROC II) and IMPAC (ROC I) operations. This position directly manages IMPAC personnel while providing operational, technical, and leadership oversight for both CCR & IMPAC technicians and assigned Bulk plants. The role serves as a key bridge between CCR, IMPAC, and ROC Management, ensuring consistent standards, strong communication, and effective execution across remote operations. The position reports to the ROC Manager. Expectations & Responsibilities: - Directly manage and develop 12 IMPAC technicians, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and annual reviews. - Provide leadership oversight and support for CCR technicians in coordination with the ROC Manager. - Coach and develop future leaders to strengthen succession planning within the ROC. - Promote a positive, inclusive, and accountable work environment aligned with Linde values. - Provide operational accountability for remote monitoring, operation, startup, and shutdown of Bulk ASU facilities. Maintain technical ownership of 8-10 assigned Bulk (CCR) plants. - Serve as an escalation point and operational liaison for IMPAC Standard Plants. - Act as a focal point between ROC operations, plant personnel, and OES Process and Controls Engineering. Serve as an escalation point and operational liaison for IMPAC Tech & Engineers - Support major outages, thaws, upgrades, and abnormal operations as required. - Oversee training strategy for CCR and IMPAC personnel. - Ensure consistent qualification standards for ROC I and ROC II operations. - Partner with Lead Technicians and Engineers to maintain shift readiness and technical depth. - Support continuous improvement of training materials and operational guidance. - Support department scheduling to ensure adequate coverage across CCR and IMPAC operations. - Assist the ROC Manager with budget ownership and resource planning. - Drive achievement of KPIs related to safety, reliability, efficiency, and training progress. - Identify and implement operational and organizational improvements. - Up to 10% travel to support plant outages, operational initiatives, or on-site support as required. - Work with ROC manager to develop ROC expansion strategy due to business growth - Promote a future vision of ROC operations through digital & work process methodology Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of plant operations and/or operations leadership experience. - Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred. - Strong working knowledge of Air Separation processes and remote operations. - Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage direct reports. - Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills. - Experience training new technicians on both plant processes (T-Plant, N-Plant, Pipeline, etc.) and ROC workflow processes (IMPAC.net, PALS, emails, Startup/ Shutdown SSOPs, etc.) About Linde: Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2025 sales of $34 billion.
