Job Purpose: The ROC Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Remote Operations Centers in Tonawanda, New York. Scope: The primary focus will be on maintaining the operations of ROC I (formerly CCR) and ROC II (formerly IMPAC). Reporting Relationships: This position will report to the Director of Operations Engineering. This position currently has five exempt and thirty-seven non-exempt reports. Principal Responsibilities: The ROC (Remote Operations Center - Tonawanda) monitors and operates multiple facilities within LG US. The ROC is focused on driving optimal production and efficiency for these plants. ROC II, formerly IMPAC, monitors over 425 plants throughout LG US. The primary function of the team is to support the operation and maintain the reliability of the OnSite Plant Organization. The team also remotely supports customer requested and power curtailment outages, maintains Customer Service call center support off hours as well as being the emergency first responders for the LTC outside of normal working hours. - Work with Logistics, Operations Engineering Services (OES), Reliability, etc. to determine optimal points in which to operate set points on Air Separation facilities to meet liquid demands. - Must be able to process information from plant control systems and rely on training and experience to make decisions on appropriate courses of action. - Must be able to work with local plant and central engineering staff. - Must drive efficiency improvements and operational deficiencies to completion. - Must be able to interpret data and quantify benefits. - Responsible for KPI tracking, performance and reporting. - Communicate effectively. - Candidate shall be a highly organized self-starter with good oral and written communication skills. - Must follow safety policies and operating procedures at all times. - Willingness to travel up to 10% for plant operations related tasks; thaws, cooldowns, plant restarts, etc. - Manage the continued expansion of the ROC to integrate new plants and full-time employees. - Manage toward the annual productivity goals of the organization. - Continual support for the ROC I & ROC II qualification process for all ROC technicians. The ROC Manager will be Responsible For: - Manage all functions for the department. - Hire, train and develop technicians. - Successfully manage department budget. - Manage the department schedule. - Achieve Key Performance Indicator Targets for the team. Qualifications: - 8+ years of Plant Operations / Management experience required. - Bachelor's degree in engineering desirable. - Expertise in Linde systems, including Worldwide Safety standards, LG US Standards, FDA, QA, and MOC compliance. - Leadership skills: time management, planning, priority setting. - Interpersonal skills to build relationships and successfully interact with all levels within Linde.
