Position Overview: Linde is seeking qualified applicants for our Logistics Manager role. The Logistics Manager must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self-motivated, dependable, and work within a team environment. Responsibilities: - You will work directly with the Regional Distribution Managers to create and execute overall strategies that lead to the lowest overall cost of delivered product to merchant customers in the assigned territories, for distribution. - You will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of a group of LG& E Planners for a specified Business Region/Geography, and to ensure all planning is consistent with the LG& E business goals and needs. - You will set goals for the Planners in the areas of Safety, Reliability, and Efficiency in alignment with the appropriate business region. - You will manage the documentation and analysis of Quality Incident Reports for assigned geography, leading to the LG& E goal of zero customer runouts. - You will provide direct management reporting for a group of Planners with regards to setting individual professional and personal development goals and managing these performances through the Performance Management Process (PMP). - You will work directly within the team to provide a team schedule to ensure overall coverage for the business requirements. - You will represent the point of contact for Sales/Business Region to facilitate proper communication for the execution of distribution plans and interact with customers to ensure expectations are met. - You will be responsible for facilitating weekly/monthly distribution and tank upgrade meetings with the region managers. - You will work with the planning and LG& E Distribution teams to ensure sufficient distribution resources are in place at our planning locations through proper analysis. - You will provide data and analysis for measurable improvements in all processes within Logistics to lead in gains in customer reliability and cost efficiency. - You will regularly visit all shifts to meet with direct reports and for training and development opportunities. - You will be available after hours, weekends and holidays for questions and concerns as needed. - Approximately 5% travel time required. Qualifications: - Associate Degree in a related field required or equivalent experience in a fast paced, decision making, logistical environment. - 2+ years of Operational/Logistical planning experience is a must. - 2+ years of Management/Supervisory experience preferred.
