What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role, you will identify and qualify potential new suppliers and process documentation required for inclusion in the company's approved supplier list
  • You will participate in development of Procurement Strategies and adopt related strategies to your working environment
  • You will also support business groups with supplier quotes at the project proposal phase
  • Further, you will prepare and issue Request for Quote (RFQ) to selected bidders as per project procurement strategy and coordinate RFQ and organize commercial and technical bid clarifications with Engineering, Project Procurement Management & Project Management department
  • Evaluate and negotiate bidder quotations, prepare bid analyses (TCO evaluation sheet), and complete the Commercial Bid Tabulation (CBT) process-when applicable-and issue recommendations to the Project Manager
  • Working with financial organization to resolve payment/invoice issues and discrepancies, to be the key contact for suppliers based on assigned group of materials will be part of your role
  • You will conduct final price negotiation, prepare and issue purchase order to selected supplier and expedite receipt of order confirmation
  • In addition, you will administer and continuously maintain database to ensure that all required data is available, correct and up to date
  • Furthermore, you will issue and negotiate claims due to non-conformities or liquidate damages per late delivery with suppliers, including but not limited preparation of official letters
  • Participate in Project Meetings as required
  • You also will negotiate Terms & Condition or Frame Agreement when necessary

What makes you great

  • You have a BS/BA in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • You also have at least two (2) years' experience as a buyer for casting and machining, as it is a plus
  • Engineering or project management experience is preferred
  • Strong background in commercial environment
  • Experience with and understanding of process plant project schedules and material requirement preferred
  • Experience with ERP business system preferred
