What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role, you will prepare the logistics plan for the projects
  • Perform onsite logistics study, to ensure equipment can be transported into the jobsite
  • Additionally, you will facilitate national and international market screens to obtain the necessary knowledge of the logistics market
  • Execute vendor pre-qualification
  • You will conduct competitive bidding for freight requirements
  • Negotiate rates & discounts for logistics contracts
  • Further, you will manage all shipping methods and deliveries to various vendor locations and job-sites
  • Evaluate, recommend, and execute requirements pertaining to international letters of credit
  • Maintain value analysis tools to assist estimating process
  • You will prepare freight estimates and process bills for payment
  • Issue purchase requisitions and purchase orders for transportation services
  • Coordinate shipments with suppliers
  • Furthermore, you will prepare documentation for shipping and customs clearance
  • Evaluate vendor performance and develops vendor accordingly
  • Assist in preparing schedules of invoice values

What makes you great

  • You have BS/BA in Business, Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • You have a minimum two (2) years experience in logistics, scheduling, or project management for an engineering and construction company or a freight forwarder
  • Experience with ERP business system preferred
  • International shipping experience
  • You have experience with permit loads, heavy haul transportation and project shipping preferred
  • Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software, SAP, and other Company and discipline specific software applications
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside
  • the Company
    Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
