Description:

Liberty POST is currently seeking motivated and energetic School Based Occupational Therapists for per diem employment to work with children in a public school setting through CSE. Immediate positions are available in Nassau County.

Backed by Liberty Resources Inc. and part of a large social services circle, originally POST was a speech-language practice in Syracuse NY, and has grown to provide a range of services throughout all of New York State and New Jersey. We employ over 500 professionals in a variety of settings and offer a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play. We are focused on the importance of a child’s natural learning environment, a family’s unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly using our Electronic Medical Record system
  • Conduct Occupational Therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses
  • Provide school based services
  • Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations.
  • Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.


Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of New York required.
  • Knowledge of New York State laws/regulations in regard to Occupational
    Therapy.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
