Phlebotomist Job Description:

The Phlebotomist will join the primary care staff (physicians, NPs, and RNs) of Liberty Resources’ Integrated Health Care to deliver patient centered care and function as a Phlebotomist for our Integrated Health Center.

Phlebotomist Responsibilities:

  • Performs patient care procedures such as the collection of blood and urine specimens
  • Properly identifies the patient, draws blood from patients for analysis and other medical purposes
  • Proficiency with phlebotomy techniques
  • Adheres to all safety, PPE, and infectious disease protocols for safe specimen collections
  • Ensures proper labeling and handling of the collected specimen
  • Maintains appropriate customer service
  • Provides Medical Assistant support as directed
  • Responds appropriately to inquiries from patients and staff regarding medical and administrative matters, and answers appropriately
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to effectively use an electronic medical record.
  • Demonstrates the values of diversity, equity, and belonging; fosters an inclusive environment that facilitates diversity.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced outpatient family and behavioral health clinic

Phlebotomist Qualifications:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or High school diploma (equivalent) with one year of relevant experience.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to effectively use an electronic medical record.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced outpatient family and behavioral health clinic environment.

Pay Range: $19/hour to $21/hour
