As a valued intern on our Commercial Auto Actuarial team, you will be given real meaningful work as well as support and guidance from our employees and leadership as you continue to develop your skills, gain industry knowledge, and build a strong foundation for your future career.

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

  • Perform data validation and quality checks

  • Support with actuarial pricing analyses and portfolio reviews

  • Support reserve monitoring and related reporting

  • Develop understanding of insurance operations, statutory requirements, and actuarial concepts

  • Collaborate with underwriting and finance teams as needed

Technical Knowledge and Understanding:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

  • Progress actuarial exams – preferably 2 exams minimum

  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends

  • Intermediate or better Excel skills

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Experience:

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks

  • Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in math, data science, statistics, or actuarial science degree

The expected pay for the role is $25/hour. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and experiences. The disclosed pay range estimate may also be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
