The successful candidate will manage a team with a broad remit over the Firm's ~$1.7T wholesale lending exposure and $1.4 wholesale deposit balances.

Job Summary
As a Wholesale Lending and Deposits Firmwide External Reporting Controller within JPMorgan Chase, you will specialize in our product line and oversee the entire process of report production for external filings. Your responsibilities will encompass managing data from its initial capture to its final use for reporting, while ensuring stringent data quality controls are in place. You will spearhead a team responsible for the company's significant wholesale lending exposure and deposit balances, and will be held accountable for the external reporting of loans and deposits. This role provides a unique opportunity to leverage advanced technologies for problem-solving and productivity enhancement.:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team overseeing the firm's ~$1.7T wholesale lending exposure and $1.4T wholesale deposit balances.
  • Manage end-to-end accountability of external reporting of loans and deposits, impacting filings such as Y-14Q, Y-9C, Call, SEC, CRA, FDIC 370, FRB pledge programs, etc.
  • Assess impact of changes to external reporting, including adoption of new technology like cloud-based reporting infrastructure.
  • Manage reporting responsibilities in accordance with the FDIC Loss Share Agreement related to the acquisition of First Republic.
  • Manage regulatory exam management.
  • Manage and prioritize data quality issues impacting wholesale loans and deposits.
  • Lead strategic transformation agenda for wholesale loans external reporting, coordinating with Credit Risk, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Provide system-level support to Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) to ensure operational processes and changes adhere to regulatory instructions.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Ability to develop, motivate, and retain a high-performing team in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to build partnerships at senior levels across functions to drive decision making across the firm.
  • Ability to represent the firm through engagement with regulators and other external parties.
  • Ability to develop and lead an exam-ready team during regulatory exams.
  • Knowledge of loan classification and relevant regulatory instructions pertaining to loans and deposits.
  • Ability to leverage advanced technologies for problem-solving and enhancing productivity, including development and use of LLMs.
