Description:

The Firmwide Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorganChase is responsible for accelerating the firm's data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the company's data, as well as leveraging this data to generate insights and drive decision-making. The CDAO Chief Data Office (CDO) is accountable for compliance with the firmwide Data Risk Management and Privacy requirements, and executing the Firmwide Data Strategy.

As a Vice President-Data Management Lead - CDO Governance, you will serve as a seasoned data governance leader to implement and mature our data governance program. In this role, you will define and enforce standards, procedures, and controls across the data lifecycle; establish ownership, stewardship, and data quality frameworks; and drive alignment with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements. You will partner with technology, risk, legal, and business stakeholders to prioritize data risk management and data strategy initiatives, at pace.

Job responsibilities:
  • Own, maintain, and enhance CDAO's data-related governing body
  • Support the publication and updates of data-related governing documents
  • Accelerate the adoption of the Firmwide Data Strategy across CDAO
  • Prioritize integration of AI into governance practices
  • Conduct periodic maturity assessments; identify gaps and implement continuous improvement plans
  • Build strong relationships with CDAO data risk leads to align initiatives to organizational priorities
  • Report and escalate issues to management as needed

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability to manage risk and govern within data or financial services
  • Experience developing and implementing policies, standards, procedures, or guidance documents to be used by a wide range of users
  • Self-starter; able to work autonomously with discipline
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable with partnering with people at all levels and across all functional areas (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Controls, Technology, and Business Operations)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with AI/ML, and/or Analytics
