Description:

Be part of JPMorgan's US Interest Rate Derivatives Strategy team, consistently top-ranked in Extel's Global Fixed Income Research rankings, and contribute to innovative and market-relevant research.

As a Derivatives Strategist, you will engage in producing insightful publications, developing trading strategies, and serving institutional clients across various sectors. This role is fast-paced and intellectually stimulating, requiring strong quantitative skills and the ability to evaluate market implications.

Job responsibilities:
  • Write and produce regular research reports, including flagship publications and special topic notes.
  • Liaise with economists and strategists to formulate forecasts and views.
  • Build new analytical frameworks and datasets, and maintain/update/improve existing ones.
  • Interact with internal sales and trading teams and external institutional clients to fulfill requests and deliver research views.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Advanced degree in Finance/Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Sciences, or similar discipline.
  • Excellent quantitative skills; experience with financial modeling is a plus.
  • Strong programming skills in a language like Python or MATLAB.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Familiarity with economic datasets and experience navigating databases through interfaces like Bloomberg is a plus.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office suite is a plus.
