DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement frontend software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Ensure quality of the resultant product by enhancing scalability, supportability and test coverage. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Mentor frontend team members in UK and Asia time zones and participate in US diversity programs. Partner with Product Managers, UX, Sales, Trading, Quantitative Research, Strategy and Clients in delivering the Product. Actively research AI/ML solutions to improve the product and the team's developer experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Engineering or related field of study plus 4 years (48months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Engineering or related field of study plus 2 years (24 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Developing software solutions for client-facing financial application such as risk management or liquidity management applications; designing, developing, and implementing software for frontend application using React, Typescript, and JavaScript, including creating responsive user interfaces, and managing state with React hooks; using Ag Grid library to build data- driven report components that require customizing grid functionalities, handling large datasets, and optimizing performance; using modern chart libraries to build dynamic and interactive charts that visualize complex financial data into an easily understandable format; backend development to facilitate communication with REST APIs, including designing and implementing RESTful services, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange, and handling error responses; upgrading major versions of grid and chart libraries, understanding breaking changes, refactoring code to accommodate new versions, and ensuring backward compatibility; using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and managing pull requests as part of the SDLC; Unit testing frameworks, including creating and maintaining unit tests, and achieving high test coverage; using Jira for requirement analysis, task tracking, and sprint planning, including creating and managing user stories, epics, and tasks, and daily stand-ups; documenting application specifications and design decisions in Confluence; conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices, including providing constructive feedback, identifying potential issues, and ensuring code maintainability and scalability; experience in design reviews, recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs, and optimizing information or data flows; partnering with Product Managers, UX designers, developers across different time zones to deliver products, including understanding business requirements, providing technical insights, and ensuring alignment with product goals.

Full-Time. Salary: $164, 900 - $215, 000 per year.
