DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Analyze and implement analytics models for fixed income and derivatives products supporting Research and Front Office covering multiple asset classes including Rates, FX, Commodities and Credit. Design, develop, maintain, and support Research Analytics applications. Utilize agile methodology throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Work alongside the research strategists and provide efficient technology solutions to comply with varying requirements, which often involve complex quantitative calculations. Collaborate with the Quantitative Research team to develop applications to support JPMC Research business. Design and build application hosted in AWS. Evaluate, and implement changes in AWS platform by analyzing and considering all products available, and estimating effort with focus in cost efficiency. Participate in large-scale application migration and modernization program including datacenters migration and on premises to AWS migrations. Coordinate governance action plans and remediation of technical debts, vulnerabilities, and breaks by cyber security and audit teams. Provide JPMC with technology stability and resiliency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer or related occupation. The employer will accept pre- or post-Bachelor's degree experience.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Application development using C++, Perl, Python and Linux; developing large-scale applications to produce analytics for financial instruments across all asset classes; Web applications design and development; Cloud Integration; Object oriented databases development and support; AWS; SQL development using Aurora and Postgres; Big data analysis and data modeling; supporting Front Office teams at a financial institution including Trading, Sales, and Research; large-scale data platforms such as Data Lake Systems, Financial Market Data Platforms, Real time and intraday data and analytics systems, and Pricing and Profit Losses calculation applications; AI/ML models applied to data analysis and Research data modeling; ETL and data pipelines design and development; Web scrapping and API and data ingestion into Cloud; architecting and designing applications supporting data and analytics; technology support for the application lifecycle and pricing for financial instruments covering Fixed Income and Credit, FX and Rates Derivatives; developing analytics on financial instruments and working with Quants in the full lifecycle of instruments pricing. The employer will accept pre- or post-Bachelor's degree experience with the skills.

Job Location: 383 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10179. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Full-Time. Salary: $155, 700 - $185, 000 per year.
