Finance & Business Management's (F& BM) goals are to ensure sound control environments and provide financial advice to support the business strategy. Within F& BM, the Controllers organization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle; performing critical reporting functions for the organization, both financial and regulatory, as well as ensuring execution and implementation of the overall financial architecture.
As a Product Controller Analyst within the Securitized Product Group, you will be part of a multi-regional team responsible for a variety of tasks. Your role will encompass the oversight of several Securitized Product Group (SPG) businesses, including Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) Trading, Non-Agency Residential Mortgage Backed Security (RMBS) Trading, Mortgage Finance (lending), and several whole loan mortgage businesses, as well as several derivatives desks. Your responsibilities will include producing, preparing, and reporting daily P& L and risk to various stakeholders, including senior Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) and senior Trading personnel. You will also be expected to understand, produce, and explain daily P& L into constituent risk components, investigating any issues as needed. As a key point of contact for the Front Office (FO), you will be responsible for obtaining sign-off of P& L and risk, addressing any ad hoc requests and queries, and coordinating the month-end closing of books to ensure accurate and reconciled financial statements. Your role will also involve liaising with middle office areas, back office, Valuation Control Group (VCG), and technology development groups as appropriate. You will also work with various stakeholders to support new business activities, including ensuring proper accounting, system flow, downstream reporting, etc. Additionally, you will work with Market Risk Coverage to report, validate and reconcile key risk metrics in various reports including limits and daily reporting packs. Lastly, you will manage projects and initiatives related to all of the above as well as larger cross-business programs as required..

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Interest and experience in Accounting/Finance
- Strong understanding of Securitized Products in their various forms (Loans, Securities, and Derivatives),
- Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities and detail oriented
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Accounting / Control experience- a professional accounting qualification, e.g. CPA, Application Control Assessment (ACA), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA)
- CFA charter holder
