As a Risk Manager in the Client Risk team of WM Investment Risk & Analytics, you will be responsible for risk oversight of our Global Wealth Management business. You will work closely with Risk Management colleagues, the Business, and key control functions to provide assessments and feedback on suitability and fiduciary issues. Together, we will ensure that our investment fiduciary and suitability activities are aligned with client interests and regulatory standards.

Job responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the Client Risk management framework for Global Private Bank.
  • Enhance and execute risk governance processes and maintain control documents.
  • Identify risk issues and perform reviews to recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Engage in regular dialogue with the business to resolve Risk issues.
  • Represent Risk in committees/forums and evaluate committee materials.
  • Support preparatory sessions with the Fiduciary Risk Lead.
  • Represent Risk Management in regulatory exams and internal audits.
  • Lead a team of risk managers in global risk oversight activities.
  • Mentor and develop junior colleagues.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or similar fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of financial risk management experience.
  • Experience in managing diverse and inclusive teams.
  • Analytical skills with knowledge of data visualization tools or programming.
  • Comfortable with large, diverse data sets.
  • Familiarity with financial instruments and regulations.
  • Ability to persuade business partners constructively.
  • Proficiency in communicating with senior management.
  • Control mentality with ability to anticipate unforeseen consequences.
  • Self-starter with project management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills to create workable solutions.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Master's degree in Finance or similar fields, CFA, FRM.
  • Experience in Asset Management, Wealth Management, or Private Bank.
  • Knowledge of investing approaches with a focus on Suitability, Counterparty, and Fiduciary Risk.
