As a Product Vice President in Card Data Product, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers and partners. As a leader on the team, you leverage capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead our Innovation pillar on the Credit Card Data Product team. As a part of the team you will be expected to help drive business value through improved usability and adoption of the data products that are defined, and curated in partnership with analysts and business product owners. You will be required to also work with data owners, engineering, data scientists to deliver the data product and any potential GenAI use cases. As a data product manager you are expected to ideate and improve business-ready datasets (redefine metrics, add calculated columns, create derived fields) when there's a clear business justification. Being able to present the "so what" and articulate the business use cases is critical as a product manager. The opportunity of managing junior product managers may be required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ideate and improve business-ready datasets when there's a clear business justification. Be able to provide business ready datasets with enhanced usability after understanding the use cases of the data in thorough detail
  • Partner with data owners, engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant data product solutions and generative AI solutions.
  • Drives new GenAI use cases and product created to improve the Card business
  • Translates business requirements into clear technical specifications and user stories for development teams and can articulate the business value of the data product to a varying audiences.
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Lead modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures such as AWS and Data Lake.
  • Develops a strong partnership with Stakeholders; communicating product updates, influencing the importance of data to the organization & articulating the business value of centralizing data
  • May be required to coaches and mentor a small team of junior product managers on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods. Helps uplift the team to develop a product mindset to help tell a story of the importance of data, the generative AI solutions and how this moves the needle with the businesses and enhancing our customers

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition and value management
  • Experience in driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Structured thinker and effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with different data environments such as AWS S3, Snowflake and Data Bricks
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience with them
  • Strong time management skills, with an ability to multitask and work under pressure and engage with colleagues across regions and time zones.
  • Technical knowledge of data engineering, data pipelines, data modeling and data architecture

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Recognized thought leader within a related field
  • High proficient in data querying with languages as Python, R, Perl, SQL
  • Experience in product development
  • Prior experience in a Credit Card organization / background is preferred, not mandatory
