Description:

As a Product Director within Chase Travel, you will lead a highly technical team within Chase Travel. In this pivotal role, you will shape the strategy and execution of products that empower developers to build, deploy, and scale our Travel applications with ease. You will be responsible for creating world-class developer tools, APIs, SDKs, and documentation that delight our developers across all Travel verticals while driving business growth through strategically implemented foundational technology.

Job responsibilities:
  • Defines and executes the product vision and strategy for API Platforms & SDKs
  • Partners with executives and peers within Chase Travel to align initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key technology stakeholders
  • Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Establishes metrics and KPIs to measure developer satisfaction, adoption, and business impact
  • Oversees the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • A minimum 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise as a senior software contributor, technical product owner, or software architect or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Advanced experience with APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and developer ecosystems
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Expertise in executive stakeholder management

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Background in software engineering or technical architecture, with knowledge or experience in secure PCI environments and UI component libraries and frameworks.
  • Active participation or familiarity with modern developer environments and open source software communities.
  • Architectural knowledge of complex distributed systems, including eventually consistent and event-sourcing architectures, as well as expansive data patterns, stores, queues, and streaming systems.
  • Experience in programming languages and frameworks such as .NET, Java, Spring, JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, and React.
