As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank's Digital Data and AI team, you will play a crucial role in an agile team that is committed to enhancing, creating, and delivering high-quality technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a significant technical contributor, your duties will encompass designing essential technology solutions across various technical domains within different business functions, all aimed at supporting the company's business goals.
Job responsibilities - Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation o recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience with react
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s): HTML, CSS, and JS, React, Typescript
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Experience working on a large team of developers in a large corporate environment developing, debugging, and maintaining code
- Hands on experience in React concepts such as functional components, hooks, state management, and context API with popular React libraries and tools like React Router, React Query, React Hook Forms and Ag Grid React.
- Solid understanding of improving and debugging memory and performance bottlenecks.
- Experience with application production readiness, production monitoring, and production issue triaging
- Knowledge of industry standard software best practices, development lifecycle processes and Agile tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity and experience with Jest and React Testing Library
- Interest in Generative AI and cutting-edge web technologies
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Proficiency in programming languages such as python / node.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
