The Commercial Solutions group within Chase Auto delivers a full suite of commercial banking solutions for auto dealers, including Treasury Services, floorplan, real estate and acquisition financing, liquidity management and other banking solutions.
As the Head of Strategic Business Management within Chase Auto Commercial Solutions, you will design, drive, and execute the Commercial Solutions strategic agenda, and drive disciplined execution across the organization. You will lead core business management and business analytics to deliver actionable insights, and strengthen sales effectiveness through banker training, portfolio strategy and sales enablement. You will also own and drive Commercial Solutions strategic initiatives, partnering with senior Auto leaders and cross-functional partners to implement AI solutions and modernize platforms and processes-resulting in measurable improvements to client and employee experience. This role is a direct report to the Head of Commercial Solutions.
Job responsibilities - Lead and develop the Strategic Business Management organization, setting direction, defining clear objectives, establishing OKRs and tracking performance against financial, strategic and operational targets.
- Own the Commercial Solutions strategic agenda, including competitive intelligence and key strategic initiatives (e.g., data strategy, AI and automation) in partnership with senior Auto leaders and stakeholders
- Define core business management routines (e.g., business unit reviews, senior leadership conferences, town halls), ensuring clear narratives, consistent materials and disciplined execution of follow-ups and action plans in partnership with leadership team.
- Develop business analytics infrastructure, including end-to-end sales and business reporting, dashboard development, data architecture and insight generation to inform strategy, coverage, product and resource allocation decisions.
- Support the sales strategy in partnership with Banking Sales leadership, enhancing banker portfolio management, sales enablement and banker training
- Drive continuous improvement in client and employee experience by partnering with Product and Operations partners to identify and execute platform, product and process enhancements that improve client and banker experience.
- Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture focused on talent development and collaborative ways of working
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities - 10+ years' experience years of relevant experience in strategy, business development, or product, within the financial services industry.
- Advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, including strong commercial acumen and the ability to synthesize data to structure complex problems and make sound decisions.
- Strategic mindset with a track record of execution, proactively identifying opportunities to innovate and improve the business, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with demonstrated ability to influence across teams and lines of business in large, complex organizations.
- Exceptional executive communication skills, including creating executive-level presentations/briefings and simplifying complex topics into clear, digestible messages.
- Demonstrated program delivery experience, with a consistent history of successful program implementations and measurable outcomes.
- High learning agility and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to ramp up quickly on new topics and translate learning into action.
- Proven people leadership experience, including building and managing teams, developing talent, and building an open, collaborative, team-oriented culture.
