JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President to join our Business Management team within Corporate Finance.
As a Vice President in Business Management, you will optimize business performances by helping to drive key initiatives. You will act as a trusted advisor and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. Your role as the business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business. This is a time-pressured and high-profile position which is instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank's corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives.
Job responsibilities: - Act as a trusted advisor to the head of AI Research (AIR) and their Leadership Team in all aspects of the business; strategy, controls, people and performance
- Work with multiple teams across Chief data and Analytics Office (CDAO), Lines of Business and support functions to drive delivery, evaluate strategies and insights, and ensure timely submissions
- Scope problems, identify major issues and actionable opportunities, design solutions, and quantify potential bottom-line financial impact
- Deliver material for senior stakeholder engagement, including JPMC operating committee-level forums, board meetings and reporting, and leadership team off sites
- Oversee the Book of Work including prioritization, controls adherence, tracking of benefit realization, dashboards and analytics
- Lead Academic Outreach partnerships, overseeing contract negotiation, vendor management, payments, relationship management and controls
- Support the business in tracking P& L, expenses, headcount and various other key metrics on an ongoing basis
- Involve in control initiatives impacting the business, partnering alongside Compliance, Legal and the Control Managers
- Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business: e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, extraordinary transaction costs
- Act as a key point of contact for support functions to help identify, facilitate and achieve business objectives and opportunities
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Economics
- Notable experience with prior roles in business management, finance, operations or project management
- Sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, professional maturity, personal integrity, and strong work ethic
- A mindset for continuous improvement and ability to switch between big picture and attention to detail
- Able to both define and deliver to conclusion a strategic agenda across multiple groups, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and work under pressure
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
- Able to present well to senior and global business heads with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal leadership and influencing skills, able to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions
- Highly proficient in Excel & PowerPoint (PitchPro+)
