Join our dynamic Finance & Business Management team and play a crucial role in promoting our organization's financial strategy and success. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the overall integrity and validity of our financial statements while working closely with diverse teams across the organization.

As an External Reporting Spread - Balance Sheet & RWA Associate in Finance & Business Management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall integrity and validity of financial statements and controls. You will work closely with various teams to provide financial advice, support the business strategy, and contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and external reporting processes.

Job responsibilities:
  • Review, and analyze quarterly financial data e.g. Balance Sheet, Net Interest Income, Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Global Systematically Important Banks (GSIB), Stress Losses etc. for accuracy and completeness. Perform quarter-over-quarter variance analytics and provide MIS to various teams including Front Office
  • Provide oversight in implementing a strong control environment and support governance forums to proactively raise concerns to senior management on a timely manner, with researched remediation plans
  • Participate in various aspects for the production, review and filing of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports filed with various regulatory agencies that are used by the regulators for compiling widely-used statistics on the levels of, and changes in, domestic and international portfolio positions
  • Adhere to proof & control procedures to ensure accurate reconciliation between regulatory filings, SEC filings and other published financial reports (e.g., Form 10-Q, Annual Report/Form 10-K, Call Report & FR Y-9C, Pillar III, etc)
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts around data quality review and external reporting improvement projects driven by regulatory changes and coordinate across different functional teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • 5+ years in a Finance organization with exposure to accounting, financial statements, and/or regulatory reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong skills in time management, problem solving, written and oral communication
  • Team player, with ability to work effectively across diverse functions, locations and businesses
  • Excellent Excel and computer skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance preferred
  • Experience in Product Control, Financial Control or knowledge of SEC reporting/Reg Reporting a plus
