Join a creative, collaborative and curious PR team! We are looking for a communications pro to bring their expertise in building compelling stories, bringing to life impactful and integrated communications/PR campaigns, and engaging with press. As an External Communications Sr. Associate you will be a part of an award-winning communications team supporting the global marketing function, including our Sports & Entertainment and Corporate Impact marketing teams. In addition, you will manage external communications/public relations and play an integral role in shaping the external narrative for our marketing leaders and teams - including our Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Brand Officer and Chief Media Officer - as well as some of our exciting Sports & Entertainment partnerships and marketing campaigns across the firm. You will consider the 360 integrated marketing/communications approach, develop and execute breakthrough campaigns and tell compelling stories with a fresh, modern and human voice. And have some fun along the way.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop, present and execute strategic and tactical communications/public relations campaigns that lead business outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal and external Chase marketing support teams (social, brand/advertising, video, content), business leaders, external partners and support agencies to tell a holistic story
  • Collaborate with communications/PR agency on campaign execution and measurement
  • Assist on talent and influencer management for PR purposes, as applicable
  • Protect and enhance the reputation of the firm - both externally and among employees
  • Coordinate with internal communications team members to pull through meaningful storylines within JPMorgan Chase

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in a communications/PR or marketing role
  • Proven experience in proactive and reactive media relations, and proactively executing public relations campaigns that resulted in positive press coverage and support business results
  • Relationships with lifestyle and/or business/finance media; subject matter expertise in marketing, financial, lifestyle press and consumer PR and fluency across social media and other multi-media channels
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; build meaningful narratives and storylines
  • Strong relationship building and collaborative decision-making skills; the ability to inspire confidence from, and to collaborate closely with teams, internal stakeholders / senior leaders and external partners
  • Outstanding judgment and interpersonal skills, including partnering effectively with executives, peers and other functional groups across the company, as well as our external co-brand partners
  • High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrating respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and taking accountability / accepting responsibility
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Experience with applying measurement tools to demonstrate success
  • Must be able to demonstrate speed, flexibility and adaptability. We need a go-getter with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines - and sometimes outside traditional business hours; domestic and international travel may be required
  • Executive presence and presentation skills; demonstrated expertise telling a story visually (PowerPoint)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Experience working in a large company and in PR agency setting
  • Executive communications experience - consulting directly with an executive/leaders
  • Experience working on an integrated marketing team
