Business Managers play a crucial role in enhancing business performance by identifying improvement opportunities and spearheading key projects and initiatives. They serve as trusted advisors to Business/Group Heads, focusing on identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. This role supports two distinct organizations within Corporate Controllers - Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA) and Bank Controller, Accounting Policy & Reporting (BCAPR). Firmwide Finance Business Architecture is accountable for leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and business process change management events and the Chief Data Office for Finance and Treasury and Chief Investment Office (TCIO). Bank Controller, Accounting Policy & Reporting is responsible for a variety of functions, including the legal entity controllership for several of the firm's major legal entities, establishing global accounting and disclosure policies, and the submission of the firm's consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements to the SEC on Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
As a Business Management - Associate within Corporate Controllers, your responsibilities will include strategic planning, continuous learning, and effective communication. You will drive change, challenge existing processes, and foster positive transformation.
Job Responsibilities: - Manage and analyze team financials and headcount including contributing to budget, multi-year forecast and business reviews
- Organize All Hands / Townhall meetings and proactively manage timely and proper communications within the team on initiatives and key deliverables
- Prepare executive presentations and provide internal coordination on cross team deliverables including ad-hoc project management support
- Build and maintain effective relationships within the team, and with key stakeholders, including other business management teams, line of business and regional controllers, Internal Audit, Finance Control Management and Program Management teams
- Participate in leading the control agenda to ensure an effective control framework is implemented and executed. (e.g., Business resiliency planning, inter-affiliate services requirements)
- Support hiring managers in position and requisition management and collaborate with recruiters across the globe to stay on top of latest hiring updates
- Track progress against priorities, including midyear and end of year summaries capturing the team's accomplishments
- Contribute to the idea creation and organization of people focused initiatives executed by the teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area with 2 years of professional experience
- Ability to deliver timely, high quality presentations and reporting for various projects and stakeholders
- Attention to detail is a must with continuous focus on design excellence
- Self-motivated and strategic thinker with the ability to work with a high degree of independence in a fast-paced, results driven environment
- Uphold strong business ethics when dealing with sensitive information
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Previous Business Management or COO experience
- Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience in project management
