As a Vice President in Business Control Management, you will evaluate and analyze the business' risk and control environment, ensuring controls are properly designed and operating effectively. Collaborate with Business Heads and across the three Lines of Defense to reduce operational risk and enhance risk management strategies.
Job Responsibilities: - Evaluate and perform end-to-end analysis of the business' risk and control environment to identify gaps and weaknesses.
- Ensure controls are properly designed and essential to a proactive risk and control culture.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Business Heads as a Controls and Operational Risk Subject Matter Expert.
- Monitor and assess operational risk, evaluate new business proposals, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate across the three Lines of Defense to reduce operational risk and enhance risk management strategies.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of professional experience in financial services with a background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance.
- Strong knowledge of control and risk management concepts and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated credibility in managing a business or business function with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities: - Basic understanding of Rates Trading products and/or Fixed Income markets.
- Experience with control-related activities in a financial setting.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation in risk management.
