This role provides an exciting opportunity to support JP Morgan Chase's (JPMC) new Digital Assets and Blockchain Solutions team, focused on strategy, partnerships and corporate development functions.
As an Executive Director on the Consumer & Community Bank Digital Assets team, you will oversee a team responsible for strategy, growth, and execution of new business opportunities across crypto, blockchain and digital assets. You will work closely with lines of business to evaluate how the financial ecosystem is changing, assess the implications to Chase, and determine what products and partnerships will deliver value for Chase's customers. You have deep knowledge of the crypto / blockchain ecosystem, outstanding analytic skills and can build strong relationships, and have a passion for consumer financial services.
The Chase Digital Assets and Blockchain Solutions team is responsible for delivering next generation banking solutions to Chase customers. Since the organization is new, you will have a chance to help shape the vision, execute the strategy and wear many hats. The team has three primary functions, 1) working with the lines of business on digital asset strategy, 2) building connections to the external ecosystem of startups and established companies in the crypto ecosystem, and 3) executing on new products via internal builds, partnerships and acquisitions to support the strategy.
Job responsibilities: - Manage a high-performance team within Chase Digital Assets and Blockchain Solutions
- Collaboratively develop partnership strategy with the lines of business, including identifying key elements of the strategy, completing analysis, and making recommendation
- Work cross-functionally within JPMC and with external partners to identify, negotiate, and execute key partnerships and acquisitions that drive business results and support the business strategy
- Develop and help deliver specific proposals with the lines of business, including overall vision, economics, and product definition
- Work in conjunction with finance, legal and other functional partners to develop financial business cases, product constructs and key terms associated with partnerships / acquisitions
- Monitor external environment for important competitive developments and potential partnership opportunities and communicate more broadly to key line of business partners as necessary
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: - 10+ years of financial services experience
- 5+ years of digital assets experience
- Extensive experience leading teams, with an innate interest in mentorship and helping others develop their career
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for financial services and digital assets
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
- A track record of successfully executed partnerships, strategic alliance development and/or acquisitions
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills and ability to achieve results within demanding timelines
